Hayward comes to San Francisco for one night only, joining forces with Chef Melissa Perello and Ricky Chu of Frances—a restaurant that has long defined refined comfort in both cuisine and spirit.
For Chef Kari Shaughnessy, this collaboration is more than a guest chef dinner—it’s a homecoming. Before founding Hayward, Kari spent years cooking alongside Melissa, learning the balance of technique and ease that now shapes her own approach to food and hospitality.
This November, the story comes full circle as Kari and Hayward’s Chef de Cuisine Søren Kalbfleisch step back into the Frances kitchen, cooking a menu that celebrates shared roots, seasonal bounty, and the joy of cooking for friends old and new. Jules Bandy will join the Frances team on the floor, bringing Hayward’s signature warmth and sense of occasion to the dining room.
Expect an evening that feels both familiar and fresh—an ode to Oregon and California’s fall abundance, to mentorship, and to the quiet beauty of coming together around a table.
Thanksgiving Dinner Pre-Order!
We’re offering a fully prepared and very Hayward Thanksgiving meal—made with care, intention, featuring a few of our favorite local farms. Go all in- the full meal deal is $150 per person. The menu is a knockout, featuring turkey from Champoeg Farm, cozy sides, and plenty of vegetables doing what vegetables do best: stealing the show.

Thanksgiving Holiday Market and Meal Pick-up

We’re kicking off the holidays with an afternoon of good food, great drinks, and even better company. The Hayward kitchen team will be slinging Revel smash burgers (plus a Celery root sando for the veg heads) while our friends from Big Table Farm, Limited Addition Wines, High Five Selections, Freeland Spirits, and Straightaway Cocktails will keep your glasses full of delicious wines and libations.
You won't want to miss our little Hayward Market stocked with favorites you can take home or gift (or hide for yourself). And you know Beth and Eric from Even Pull Farm will be selling some gorgeous bouquets to grace your holiday table. Would it be the holidays is Revel Meat Co. wasn’t here offering their packaged bacon, sausages, pork chops and more?!
Come grab a burger and a glass, stock your freezer, and toast the season with us. You don’t need a Thanksgiving order to join the fun—just bring your good cheer and your appetite.
