What are your hours?

We are open Wednesday through Saturday for dinner only starting at 4:30 P.M.

Is the menu à la carte or a tasting menu?

We offer both an à la carte menu and our family-style option, the Kickback — where you kick back, relax, and let us make the all the choices.

For parties of six or more, Kickback is required! It’s a dinner party-style experience designed to be shared. It’s $89 per guest and includes a rolling spread of about seven savory dishes plus dessert — the kind of meal that builds as it goes and lands exactly where it should. WE just ask you let us know ahead of your reservation about any food allergies. We can accommodate most, but not all!

Parties of six or more will also see a 20% service charge added to the bill. Come hungry, trust us a little — we’ve got you.

Do I need a reservation?

We encourage reservations, but walk-ins are always welcome. We also have a beautiful bar with 14 seats that are available on a first-come, first-served basis, where you can enjoy a full dinner. Reservations are open 60 days in advance. Please note the bar is only available for guests 21+.

Can you do anything special for a birthday or other special Occassion?

Absolutely. We’re lucky to have a team of incredibly talented bakers, and with a bit of notice we can prepare a seasonal layer cake—8" ($85) or 10" ($115). You can steer us fruit-forward or chocolate-forward, and we’ll take it from there. Emailhello@haywardrestaurant.com

How many wineries should I visit while I’m in the valley?

A gentle suggestion: fewer than you think. Wink wink.

Fun fact (ok it’s not that fun for us!): the number one reason guests cancel dinner is… they went a little too hard at the wineries. We get it. It’s easy to do!

But pace yourself and you can have both — a great day of tasting and a proper dinner. Two, maybe three stops. Drink water. Eat something. Leave a little room for the evening. We promise: you’ll want to be hungry when you get here.

Do you offer a corkage policy?

Yes, corkage is $35 per 750ml bottle. If you purchase a bottle from our menu along with bringing your own, we’ll waive one corkage fee. Please not we cannot accommodate bottles of wine that have already been opened elsewhere, nor wines that we have on our list.

Can you accommodate large groups or full buyouts?

We love hosting groups! For reservations larger than 10 guests or to discuss a partial or full buyout, please reach out to us at hello@haywardrestaurant.com.

What is your gratuity policy?

For parties 6 or more we add an automatic 20% gratuity.

What’s the temperature like? Do you have AC?

We have AC and beautiful garage doors that can open when the weather is nice.

Do you offer outdoor seating?

Yes, we do, but only during the late spring, to early summer, until late September or early October. We provide a few heat lamps to keep you cozy. Please note if you book a reservation in our garden, we may not be able to relocate you due to inclement weather.

How often does your menu change?

Our menu changes regularly, based on the availability of fresh, seasonal produce from our farmers.

Are you family-friendly? Do you have high chairs or space for strollers?

While we strive to accommodate families, please note that our restaurant’s atmosphere is more suited for adults and may not be ideal for young children. We don’t have a dedicated kids’ menu, but we’re happy to offer simple options like buttered noodles for younger guests. Our dining room is cozy, with limited space for strollers, so we’ll gladly store them at the hostess stand. We have one high chair that is available upon request.

Do you have parking?

There is street parking available nearby.

Are you dog-friendly?

Dogs are welcome in our outdoor seating area. Inside we cannot allow dogs unless they certified service animals.

Are you open for lunch?

No, we are only open for dinner service, Wednesday through Saturday, from 4:30 pm to 8:30 pm.

Do you close for holidays?

We are closed on Saturday, July 4th and Saturday, October 31st. We will be closed this year (2026) from Dec 23rd - Jan 5th. We are also closed the entire week of Thanksgiving.
